A C++ FME plug-in must be built in 64-bit in order to run with a 64-bit FME. As of FME 2012, 64-bit FME is fully supported and all C++ FME plug-ins should be available in 64-bit if possible. Converting an existing 32-bit plug-in is simple to do using Visual Studio.
