Bulk load workspaces to FME Server (2012)

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO FME SERVER 2012 AND PREVIOUS.

In some situations you may want to bulk load a number of workspaces to FME Server. The only method for initially publishing a workspace to FME Server is to use FME Workbench's publish wizard (File > Publish to FME Server). However, once the workspace has been published to FME Server you can export to a temporary file for quick import (i.e. bulk load) to another FME Server.

Export Repositories

1. Create a workspace that reads from FME Server Repository format and writes to FFS format.
2. Run the workspace. This creates a single FFS file that contains the repositories from your FME Server including any workspaces, templates, custom transformers and custom formats that have been published.

Import Repositories

1. Create a workspace that reads from FFS format (select the exported file) and writes to FME Server Repository format.
2. Run the workspace. This imports all items into the FME Server.
