Symptom
How can I set the font size of a geodatabase annotation feature explicitly? Setting the geodb_text_size causes the FontSize to be calculated based on the reference scale.
Resolution
It is possible to set the font size explicitly but it is overwritten by any textsize being carried through the workspace.
- Place a TextPropertySetter into the workspace just prior to writing the annotation feature class and use it to set the "New Text Size" to 0. Leave the other fields in the transformer blank. This overrides any fme_text_size attribute coming through the workspace which might be based on the source text size.
- On the Geodatabase writer expose the geodb_font_size attribute and give this the value that you want the Font Size set to. Also unexpose the geodb_text_size attribute if it has been exposed.
